Our Story

Kelly’s Story

I am a former ballroom dancer with a degree in interior design and a deep desire to create beauty in everything I do. For 15 years I taught ballroom dancing; one of my favorite parts of that work was helping wedding couples develop their vision and bring it to life. Now I channel that same creative energy into floral design, using flowers to help realize your vision for meaningful moments.

In 2018 I married Beau, and we now have two children. A few years after their arrival I felt a strong calling to be on the farm with Beau and the kids. After many conversations and brainstorming sessions, I transitioned from ballroom instructor to floral designer/flower farmer.

When choosing a name for this new endeavor, Bliss felt right — it reflected the quiet joy of working on the farm with my family nearby. Over time, ideas grew and passion propagated; the name became a natural fit. Everything seemed to be orchestrated perfectly. I listened to the orchestra, and Floral Bliss continued to bloom.

About the Farm

Floral Bliss is in the middle of a third-generation cattle farm, “S” - Co. Shorthorn Farms, located south of Hastings, in beautiful rural Minnesota. On this farm, started by the Swanson family in 1925, Walter and Agnes Swanson raised their 7 children along with chickens, turkeys, hogs, and shorthorn cattle. Today the farm, run by my husband Beau, continues to raise shorthorn cattle and has expanded into other breeds as well.

From full service to micro/elopement ceremonies, we are your one stop floral designers for all things wedding! We are looking forward to bring your wedding day vision come to life. We will make your day beautiful from personal flowers, to ceremony and reception installations.

Events

We are excited to help you with any size event, centerpieces, floral fixtures and more!

Workshops

There are a number of workshops that will be offered. One of which will be how to build your own flower arrangements and keep them fresh for days or even weeks! You can join one of our pre scheduled workshops or you can book a private party.

Eloise (Weezie)

This young lady is here to be our mobile store front and assist with the farm! She can be found in Hastings selling some bouquets on the weekend and she is also for hire! She loves a good party, festival, and can even be a “build your own bouquet bar!”
